I was cross with myself, I was gutted, then I re-evaluated the importance of that streak.
I realised I couldn’t do anything about it, and that it wasn’t that important in the grand scheme of things.
My wife also lost her streak that day, which was about 4 times the size of mine.
We were both gutted.
She went through the same process that I did, accepted it for what it was, and yes, we started over, but this time with the understanding that it’s not the end of the world if we lose it again. We would just start over again.
This story is about resilience, evaluating and acknowledging the things you do, how important they are, and how you bounce back.
Understand what’s going on around you, gain a better perspective, and learn from the past to be more aware for the future.
